BIRMINGHAM – Coming off a hard-fought 2-1 loss against #23 Memphis on Sunday, the Blazers will head west to take on a pair of Arizona teams starting with Arizona State on Thursday. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. (CT) / 11:00 a.m. (MT).
UAB LATELY
In UAB’s loss to Memphis, the Blazers allowed two Tiger goals in the first half, but Eve Beyer would put up a clean sheet in the second half. Stella Kiss scored the lone goal for the Blazers in the 89th minute.
ARIZONA STATE LATELY
ASU is coming off a 1-1 tie at Denver on Aug. 28. The Sun Devils have started the season 1-0-2, with their win coming at Boise State on August 25th. The Sun Devils were picked to finish tenth in the Pac-12.

UAB TO THE AAC STARTING IN 2022-23
On Thurs., Oct. 21, American Athletic Conference officials announced that Charlotte, Florida Atlantic, North Texas, Rice and Texas San Antonio will join UAB as new members in the AAC and compete against current AAC members East Carolina, Memphis, Navy, USF, SMU, Temple, Tulane, Tulsa and Wichita State. The UAB women’s soccer team will begin AAC play in the 2023 season.
