The 37 honorees are tied for the most in program history
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The University of Florida women’s lacrosse team dominated in the classroom during the 2022 season as 37 student-athletes were named to the AAC All-Academic Team, as announced by the league on Thursday.
That number is tied with 2021 for the most honorees in Florida’s program history.
On the field, the Gators finished the 2022 season with a 17-5 overall record and a perfect 5-0 AAC record. For the ninth time in 13 years, the Gators were able to hoist both the regular season conference championship and the conference tournament championship. UF secured its 11th-straight regular season crown during the 2022 campaign and won its ninth conference tournament trophy overall and eighth-straight.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have competed in an American Athletic Conference-sponsored sport, attained a minimum grade-point average of 3.00 for the preceding academic year, and completed a minimum of two consecutive semesters or three consecutive quarters of work.
