Fred Biondi earned his second weekly honor of the season after his performance in the regular season finale.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Backed behind his second victory of the season, the Southeastern Conference (SEC) named Fred Biondi Co-Golfer of the Week on Thursday.
The junior from Sao Paulo Brazil, Biondi finished T1 in the regular season finale at the Calusa Cup at 5-under. He posted two rounds in the 60s (69 & 68), which totaled his eighth of the season as the last Gator to win two events in a season was Ricky Castillo in 2020.
Biondi’s last five outings include two first-place finishes, a runner-up, a T7 and also a runner-up finish at the Latin America Amateur Championship (LAAC). He leads the Gators with a stroke average of 69.7 and 4.2 birdies per round.
In the final March Arnold Palmer Cup Rankings, Biondi was ranked No. 1 on the International side. He is currently ranked the No. 2 player by Golfstat and No. 6 by Golfweek.
