Annabell Fuller is seeking her third appearance at the event that features the top female golfers from Great Britain and Ireland against their counterparts from the United States.
St. Andrews, Scotland – Florida women’s golfer Annabell Fuller was selected to the Curtis Cup preliminary list on Wednesday, The R&A announced.
Fuller has competed in the event twice in 2018 and 2021. Last summer, the event was held at Conway Golf Club in Wales after the 2020 schedule tournament was canceled due to COVID-19. The Gator helped win three points in fourball action including two 4&3 victories.
The biennial event matches the top female amateur golfers from Great Britain and Ireland against their counterparts from the United States. Teams – GBI & USA – are made up of eight players that compete in various match play matches in either singles or foursomes.
The top-two GB&I players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (r) (WAGR (r)) on April 21 will automatically gain selection to the team with the six remaining players announced on April 26.
This year’s event will be played at Merion Golf Club in Ardmore, Pa. from June 10-12.
