The Gators took sixth at the Moon Golf Invitational in a field of nine top-25 teams.
MELBOURNE, Fla. – Maisie Filler recorded her third straight top-10 finish this season as the Gators took sixth at the Moon Golf Invitational on Tuesday.
Filler posted her team-leading eleventh round (70, -2) and fifth tournament (214, -2) under par. She ended the second tournament of the spring with a team-high 10 birdies including back-to-back to begin the back nine in round three.
Marina Escobar shot her best round of the tournament with a 1-under (71) performance on the final day. She erased a 3-over on the front nine and went 4-under bogey-free on the back, including sinking three consecutive birdies to start.
Both Annabell Fuller and Clara Manzalini finished T26 with Jenny Kim two strokes behind at T44.
Florida returns to Mark Bostick Golf Course and hosts the 50th annual VyStar Gators Invitational from March 5-6 as they aim to win the event for the seventh straight year and 25th time in program history.

Head Coach Emily Glaser
On the team’s performance…
“I was proud of how we fought even though I don’t think we got a lot out of our games this week. There were a lot of positive learning experiences from the tournament that will serve us well down the road. I also know this week will be motivating for our team.”
On Maisie Filler’s outing…
“It’s great to see Maisie grow and improve each week, she’s worked really hard to be in this position. I love the steadiness in her game both physically and mentally. She hasn’t been afraid to work on her weaknesses and hold herself accountable. We’re happy for her to have another great tournament.”
