UAB LATELY
UAB (13-10, 6-6 C-USA) fell to Rice 81-76 on Feb. 17. The Blazers have lost two straight and four of its last five.
NORTH TEXAS LATELY
North Texas (13-10, 7-6 C-USA) have won five straight dating back to Feb. 5.
UAB AND NORTH TEXAS HISTORY
The series began in 2000 as part of the Air Force Classic. In total, the teams have met 14 times, with UNT holding a 9-5 advantage. They have played in the Conference USA Championship once, 2017. The series is tied 2-2 at the Super Pit.

Amber Dixon led all scorers with 20 points in the Mean Green’s 67-54 victory over UAB on Feb. 7, 2022. Kylee Schneringer led the Blazers with 14 points. Destinee McGhee added 13 points and seven rebounds. Margaret Whitley scored 11.

Weathersby is seventh in the NCAA with 17 double-doubles, 10th with 4.2 offensive rebounds per game and 19th with 11.0 rebounds per game. She ranks first in Conference USA shooting percentage (56.6%), and total rebounds/rebounds per game (254/11.0) She’s second in the league in blocks per game and total blocks (1.83/42) and is fourth in field goals made (138).

Both Weathersby (Chicago State/Chattanooga) and Caitlynn Daniels (Mississippi Valley State) each have a 28-point game under their belts this year.
WORLD CLASS KLACZEK
Emily Klaczek set a career-high with 26 points in UAB’s 86-70 win over WKU on Jan. 27. She scored 16 points in the 2nd quarter, going 5-for-5 from the field, 4-of-4 from 3-point range and a pair of foul shots.
EIGHT IS ENOUGH
In Daniels career day against MVSU, she drained eight 3-pointers. This is the most in C-USA this season and tied for the 11th most in the NCAA this season.
