Sandy Owls Featured in Preseason Rankings

BOCA RATON, Fla. – For the fifth consecutive year, the Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team has earned a spot in preseason rankings for the American Volleyball Coaches Association and CollegeBeachVB.com polls. The Sandy Owls came in 12th in the CollegeBeachVB.com poll and 13th in the AVCA Beach poll.
 
In the AVCA Poll, the Owls were positioned at 13th with 116 points. The Sandy Owls will play 12 teams in the top 20 this season, including the top three teams in the country in USC, UCLA and Florida State.
 
FAU is coming off an historical 2021 season, finishing the year 20-10. The Sandy Owls went on to win their first conference championship, while the squad was members of the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association and were led by AVCA First Team All-Americans in Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris. This season, the Sandy Owls are a part of Conference USA’s inaugural season sponsoring beach volleyball.
