BIRMINGHAM – Coming off an exciting road win at Southern Miss, the UAB women’s basketball team will host Old Dominion on Sunday afternoon. Tipoff time is slated for 2 p.m. This game is the Blazers’ annual Pink Game.
UAB LATELY
UAB (13-8, 6-4 C-USA) is in first place in C-USA West Division. The Blazers led for 38 minutes in their 68-61 victory at Southern Mississippi on Feb. 10.
OLD DOMINION LATELY
ODU (18-5, 8-3 C-USA) is currently in a tie for third place in C-USA East Division. The Monarchs are coming off a 58-56 victory over Middle Tennessee on Feb. 10.
UAB AND OLD DOMINION HISTORY
The teams first met in the 1983 Sun Belt Championship, the first of 11 straight Old Dominion victories that ran through 1991. Since then, UAB has won nine of the 12 matchups. Overall, ODU leads the series 14-9 and the Blazers hold a 4-3 edge in Birmingham.
LAST TIME AGAINST OLD DOMINION
The Blazers and Monarchs split the two-game series in Norfolk. UAB took the first matchup 74-61 on Feb. 19, 2021 and ODU got the equalizer 70-47 the following day.

She ranks first in Conference USA shooting percentage (55.6%), and total rebounds/rebounds per game (233/11.1) She’s second in the league in blocks per game (1.76) and total blocks (37) and is fourth in field goals made (124).

WORLD CLASS KLACZEK
Emily Klaczek set a career-high with 26 points in UAB’s 86-70 win over WKU on Jan. 27. She scored 16 points in the 2nd quarter, going 5-for-5 from the field, 4-of-4 from 3-point range and a pair of foul shots.
EIGHT IS ENOUGH
In Daniels career day against MVSU, she drained eight 3-pointers. This is the most in C-USA this season and tied for the 10th most in the NCAA this season.
