| July 20, 2019 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Former Jaguars C/G Brad Meester has been named No. 13 on the Jaguars All-25, the club announced today. Jaguars All-25 presented by Sharpie is a collection of the top 25 non-active players in franchise history, as voted on by members of the local media. The Jaguars’ silver celebration kicked off in mid-March with the start of the new league year and the unveiling of the team’s 25th season commemorative logo designed to embody the spirit of DUUUVAL. “It was an honor to be able to play my entire career with the Jaguars,” said Meester. “I want to say ‘thank you’ to the organization and the fans for making the city of Jacksonville feel like home for myself and my family. Thank you again and go Jaguars!”Meester, 6-3, 292, played more seasons (14) and appeared in more games (209) than anyone in Jaguars history. He started in all 209 games in which he appeared, starting at LG for the first 48 and at C for the last 161. He owns the two longest streaks for consecutive games started – 92 from 2000-2005 and 89 from 2008-13. Meester blocked for two Pro Bowl running backs – RB Fred Taylor (2007) and RB Maurice Jones-Drew (2009-11) – and helped QB David Garrard earn Pro Bowl honors in 2009. Meester blocked for Jones-Drew and Taylor for the majority of both players’ career, helping Taylor become the franchise’s leader in rushing yards (11,271) and Jones-Drew in rushing TDs (68). In 2011, Meester started all 16 games at center and helped Jones-Drew total a league-leading 1,606 rushing yards. “If they needed him to play guard, he was a guard. If they needed him to play center he was a center,” said Brian Sexton, Jaguars senior correspondent and an All-25 voting member. “If they needed to play quick and get up the field he played quick and got up the field. If they needed him to maul, he mauled.” Currently, Meester lives in Iowa with his wife Jamie and their six daughters. He enjoys fixing motorcycles and coaches the offensive line for Mount Vernon High School in Iowa.
