UAB (4-2) is coming off a 67-52 victory over Chattanooga on Nov. 29. Zakyia Weathersby recorded a double-double of 28 points and 18 rebounds in the win. She is first in Conference USA in scoring (18.5 ppg), rebounds (12.3 rpg), blocks (2.7 bpg), offensive rebounds (6.0orpg) and double-doubles (5).
MILES LATELY
Miles (5-0) is coming off an 80-78 overtime win at Fort Valley State on Dec. 2. The Golden Bears play at Carver College on Saturday before heading to Birmingham.

Each meeting has been dominated by UAB. The Blazers have won all three meetings by an average of 49.0 points per game. The most points scored and largest win in Bartow Arena came against Miles on Dec. 28, 2016 when the Blazers defeated the Golden Bears by 58 points, 106-48.

Both Weathersby (Chicago State/Chattanooga) and Caitlynn Daniels (Mississippi Valley State) each have 28-point game under their belts this year. This is tied for the second-best single game total in C-USA this season behind Southern Miss’ Dominque Davis who had 29 against Samford.

In Daniels career day against MVSU, she drained eight 3-pointers. This is the most in C-USA and tied for the sixth most in the NCAA this season.
