BIRMINGHAM –The UAB women’s soccer team continues its road trip on Sunday afternoon when they face Kennesaw State. Kickoff is scheduled for noon. (CST)/ 1 p.m. (EST).
BLAZERS OPEN UP 2021 SEASON ON THE ROAD
UAB began its 26th season of play in its 1-0 setback at Chattanooga on Thursday night.
THE SERIES VS. KENNESAW STATE
Sunday’s match will be the fourth time the Blazers and Owls have met. The first meeting was in 2005. The teams also met in 2007 and 2008. Most recently, UAB and KSU played spring scrimmages in 2018 and 2019, both ending in draws. KSU leads the series 3-0-0.
SCOUTING KENNESAW STATE
KSU returns ASUN Preseason All-Conference Team selections Kathryn Schreck and Becky Contreras to the 2021 roster. The Owls opened up their season with a 1-0 loss against Charlotte on Thursday. The match was called in the 87th minute due to lightning.
