Wood Named to CoSIDA Women’s Soccer Academic All-District Team

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women’s soccer’s Audria Wood has been named to the Academic All-District 4 Team, announced by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) on Thursday.

Wood is now a candidate for Academic All-America®, which will be announced in July.

The senior earned her undergrad degree in biology (4.0 GPA) and is working on her master’s in public health.  She has received the C-USA Commissioner’s Academic Medal and has been a member of the C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll. She has also appeared on the UAB Dean’s and President’s Lists.

A staple in the Blazers’ back, Wood helped anchor a defensive line with a goals-against-average of 1.26 and two shutouts this past season.

This marks the first time since 2011 a UAB women’s soccer student-athlete has earned a place on a CoSIDA All-District® team.

The CoSIDA Academic All-District® teams are divided into geographic districts across the United States and Canada. District 4 includes teams in Alabama, Florida, Georgia and South Carolina.
