Kaitlyn Dabkowski, Grace Haus, Shannon Kavanagh and Sarah Reznick pick up AAC accolades in Week 11
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After completing its eighth undefeated conference slate in program history with a sweep over Old Dominion, four Gators earned AAC Weekly honors, as the league announced Monday.
Sarah Reznick earned her fourth Freshman of the Week honor this season, while Kaitlyn Dabkowski, Grace Haus and Shannon Kavanagh were each tabbed to the Honor Roll.
In the cage, Reznick saw 102:18 minutes of action, recording 16 saves while only allowing six goals for a .727 save percentage on the weekend.
In Friday’s matchup, she registered nine saves with a career-best .750 save percentage, while also recording a groundball. During Sunday’s game, she once again only allowed three goals to go along with seven saves for a .700 clip. Currently, Reznick sits first in the nation in save percentage (.574) and second in GAA (6.59).
Dabkowski earned her second spot on the Honor Roll this season after anchoring Florida’s defense against the Monarchs. The Gators held Old Dominion to an average of just 5.00 over the course of the two games and Dabkowski tallied six groundballs and five caused turnovers.
In Friday’s matchup, the senior defender recorded a career-high four groundballs and tied her personal-best mark of three caused turnovers. In Sunday’s game, Dabkowski once again showed a strong defensive performance, collecting two groundballs and two caused turnovers in the victory.
Haus tallied eight points on seven goals and one assist across the series with the Monarchs, while also recording three groundballs and one caused turnover.
The senior attacker had a career day in Sunday’s matchup, registering seven points on six goals and an assist. She bested her previous career-high of six points, which she set against ECU earlier this season. In Friday’s matchup, Haus recorded one goal, three groundballs and one caused turnover.
Over the course of the series, Kavanagh registered nine points, seven draw controls, four groundballs and three caused turnovers to earn her spot on the Honor Roll.
In Friday’s matchup, she posted four goals, while also recording four groundballs, three draw controls and two caused turnovers. In Sunday’s game, the senior midfielder notched five goals on eight shots for a .625 shot percentage, to go along with four draw controls and a caused turnover.
The Gators are back in action on Wednesday against Liberty in the final regular season contest of the season. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m. at Donald R. Dizney Stadium.
