No. 1 Gator Gymnastics at NCAA Athens Regional This Weekend

GAINESVILLE, Fla.  – The goal is simple for top-seeded Florida gymnastics for this weekend – earn a NCAA Championships’ berth. Florida seeks that spot this weekend in Athens, Ga., in NCAA Regional competition.

Three 2021 conference champions are among the NCAA Athens Regional field. Florida won the Southeastern Conference regular-season title with a 7-0 record. Denver upset defending NCAA champion Oklahoma to claim the Big 12 Championship meet title. Minnesota used a program record 197.75 to take the Big Ten Championship meet title on March 20 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Florida is seeking its 37th NCAA Championships’ berth in the event’s 39-year history.
