BIRMINGHAM –The UAB women’s soccer team (3-2-1) will travel to Montgomery, Ala. to face Alabama State (0-1-0) on Sunday evening. Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m.

The Blazers are coming off a hard-fought 1-1 draw on Thursday night at Samford. Kassandra Daniel found the back of the net for UAB while Anika Toth made five saves for the Blazers.
ABOUT ALABAMA STATE
This is ASU’s second match of the year. In Hornets’ season opener, they fell to Troy 3-1 on Feb. 17. Isabella Beortegui and Mary Martin Mooneyham were preseason SWAC All-Conference selections.
THE SERIES VS. ALABAMA STATE
Although separated by 90 miles, the two teams have met only once. On Sept. 5, 2019, five different Blazers scored as UAB shutout ASU 5-0 at BBVA Field.
