INDIANAPOLIS – Milwaukee’s Brandi Bisping is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after helping the Panthers improve to 8-0 in League play with a weekend sweep over Purdue Fort Wayne, averaging 14.5 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. Youngstown State’s Nneka Obiazor earned Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors as she averaged 17.0 points and 10.0 rebounds for the Penguins this weekend.

Brandi Bisping led Milwaukee to another Horizon League sweep, averaging a near double-double of 14.5 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. She was very strong offensively, shooting 64.3 percent (9-for-14) from the floor, 75 percent (3-for-4) from three-point range, and 88.9 percent (8-for-9) from the line. In Friday’s win, Bisping totaled 14 points, seven rebounds, and a pair of assists. She followed that with her second double-double of the year, totaling 15 points and 12 rebounds on Saturday. Bisping took over in the first half of game two, recording 12 points and nine boards before finishing with the double-double. Bisping leads the league and ranks 34th in the nation with 45 made free throws.

Nneka Obiazor averaged a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds per game against Oakland. She began the weekend with 12 points and nine rebounds, then followed it up with career highs of 22 points and 11 rebounds in Saturday’s victory over the Golden Grizzlies. She was 10-for-19 from the field in the win, and she added two assists and two steals. Through four games, Obiazor leads YSU with 13.5 points and 7.8 rebounds per game.
