INDIANAPOLIS – IUPUI’s Macee Williams is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after leading the Jags to a 2-0 sweep at RMU, averaging 25.0 points and 12.5 rebounds while shooting 63 percent from the field. This weekly honor is the tenth career player of the week award for Williams and ties her with Milwaukee’s Traci Edwards for most all-time #HLWBB weekly awards. Wright State’s Destyne Jackson earned Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honors as she led the Raiders to a 2-0 weekend at Youngstown State, tallying 13.5 points and four rebounds.

Macee Williams was stellar for IUPUI as the Jags improved to 6-0 in Horizon League play with two wins at Robert Morris. Williams averaged 25 points and 12.5 rebounds while playing just over 25.7 minutes in the two games against the Colonials. On Friday, Williams totaled 24 points and 10 rebounds then followed that up with 26 points and 15 rebounds on Saturday afternoon. The senior shot 63 percent from the field and 75 percent from the free throw line, including going 10-for-12 from the stripe in the second game. Williams also added five assists, including a team-high four in game number two.

Destyne Jackson averaged 13.5 points and four rebounds for Wright State as the Raiders swept Youngstown State. The redshirt freshman tallied a career-high 16 points on Friday afternoon going 7-for-13 from the field and 2-for-5 from beyond the arc while also pulling down two rebounds. Saturday’s contest would be much of the same for Jackson, as she scored a team-leading 11 points and pulled down six rebounds. The Lexington, KY native finished the contest 4-for-9 from the field and 3-for-6 from three point range while also tallying one assist and a steal.
