LB QUINCY WILLIAMS AND S JARROD WILSON RETURN TO 53-MAN ROSTER
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars have moved LB Quincy Williams (core muscle injury) and S Jarrod Wilson (hamstring) to the team’s 53-man roster from the reserve/injured-designated for return list, the club announced today. The team also utilized a practice squad standard elevation spot on DL Caraun Reid.
Williams, 5-11, 225, is in his second year after being drafted by the Jaguars in the third round (98th overall) of the 2019 NFL Draft. During his rookie campaign, Williams appeared in 11 games with eight starts and posted 48 tackles (30 solo), including two tackles for loss. Williams was placed on the reserve/injured list following final roster reductions earlier this year with a core muscle injury. He wears No. 56 for the Jaguars.
Wilson, 6-2, 210, is in his fifth year with the team and was named a team captain earlier this season. He has appeared in 64 career games with 19 starts and has totaled 98 tackles, six passes defensed and two INTs. Wilson started in the Jaguars’ Week 1 victory over Indianapolis and was placed on the reserve/injured list on Sept. 14 with a hamstring injury. He wears No. 26 for the Jaguars.
Reid, 6-2, 292, has appeared in 47 career games with 16 starts and has totaled 50 tackles, including 11 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks. He previously spent time with Arizona (2019), Dallas (2018), Detroit (2014-15, 2017) and San Diego (2016) after originally being drafted by the Lions in the fifth round of the 2014 NFL Draft. A native of Bronx, N.Y., Reid played collegiately at Princeton from 2009-13. He wears No. 92 for the Jaguars.
The Jaguars now have 53 players on their active roster.
