Corrick recorded her fifth shutout and sixth double-digit strikeout game in USF’s 2-0 win over ECU
TAMPA, April 5, 2019 – Sophomore pitcher Georgina Corrick delivered 10 strikeouts in the Bulls 2-0 victory over ECU on Friday night. Corrick has pitched six double-digit strikeout games this season, nine complete games and five shutouts.
USF (27-14, 5-2) got on the board in the third inning with a pair of RBI singles from redshirt sophomore Bethaney Keen (Bradenton, Fla.) and junior Brooke Hartman (Port Orange, Fla.) that scored junior AnaMarie Bruni (Schwenksville, Pa.) and freshman Meghan Sheehan (Forest Hill, Md.). Bruni got on base three times in the Bulls’ win, extending her reached-base streak to five games.
Corrick (Sanford, Fla.) held the Pirates scoreless in her 15th win this season, 14th in her last 15 games. She now has 151 strikeouts this season in 113 innings pitched.
