Of course, it has been a very tough time for everyone around the world and my first thoughts are to wish you all good health and to stay safe.
This first article is really just an introduction.
Sports betting has been my life for around 30 years now, however I only turned professional full time around 5 years ago. I moved to Asia as it really is a different world here in terms of the volumes of cash you can get down. It is truly incredible. I know some betting agents who see bets of 100k USD as the norm and get bets of 1m USD on top tier games in the top Soccer leagues.
Now you may think, wow do sports-books really take bets that big, surely, they have limits and here is where it differs in Asia, they use a Multi-Level marketing system. For more information on how the MLM works, send me a DM on twitter along with your email and I will publish this to you.
Since we started the season in August we are winning over 100 units , all this based on sensible staking, the average stakes being around 1.5 units. We publish our bets in private telegram channels and always publish on our twitter timeline our profit/loss numbers after each week of betting so that our members and followers can see we are being transparent. So in short our members who are betting say 100 USD a unit are around 10,300 USD in profit for the season to date. Each week I will publish a FREE BET for you all and also what I hope you find informative information to help you, if indeed you do like a ‘bet’.
Of course, sports betting has become far more scientific these days and no longer can you just look at bare form and statistics. We have built proprietary ‘models’ that we back up with our own data including XG/XGA (expected goals/expected goals against) allowing us to find what we believe to be the correct price/odds on an event. When we see the sports-books, price differs in our favor we then after some analysis decide to hit the market. We also bet IN PLAY to take advantage of mistakes by the traders, again something I will elude too in a future article.
Of course, sports are slowly coming back albeit under different conditions and something to look out for is that without fans we have data to suggest ‘home advantage’ is lessened under these conditions. Referees are often swayed into making decision by hostile home crowds and with this element being taken out it is just one small factor to consider when handicapping games.
