INDIANAPOLIS – Cleveland State’s Savanna Crockett is the Nike® #HLWBB Player of the Week after she averaged 22 points and 10 rebounds and the Vikings went 2-0 to secure a home game in the first round of the League championship. Oakland freshman Alona Blackwell earned her third Nike® #HLWBB Freshman of the Week honor of the season after averaging 11.0 points and helping the Golden Grizzlies to a win over Youngstown State.

Crockett averaged a double-double on the weekend (22.0 points & 10.0 rebounds), leading Cleveland State to a pair of wins over Oakland and Detroit Mercy. The sophomore opened the weekend with 21 points and seven rebounds against Oakland, marking her first 20-point game of the season and followed that up with 23 points and 13 rebounds against Detroit Mercy, marking her fourth double-double of the year. The Wisconsin native posted a .464 clip from the field on the weekend (13-for-28) and also recorded four blocked shots on the weekend, moving into a tie for ninth place on the CSU Career Blocks List with 72 career blocked shots.

Blackwell averaged 11.0 ppg shooing 9-for-16 (56.3%) from the field with six rebounds aiding Oakland to a 1-1 record in League play. She scored nine points at Cleveland State and followed with 13 points on 5-for-7 shooting helping the Golden Grizzlies to a 86-73 road win at Youngstown State snapping a four-game skid.
