30 American Athletes Qualify for 2024 NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships

IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference saw 30 student-athletes and relays advance through the preliminary rounds of the 2024 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at a pair of regional sites that hosted competition from May 22-25.

South Florida led the way with 8 total qualifiers, including relays, to pace The American. Rice and UTSA added six competitors followed by five athletes from Charlotte. Wichita State will send three athletes to the championship, while SMU and Tulane will both send one. Three student-athletes will compete in multiple events – Charlotte’s Joyasia Smith, South Florida’s Abdul-Rasheed Saminu and Wichita State’s Destiny Masters.
