BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men’s tennis team is experienced, motivated and unified towards one goal – winning the Conference USA Championship and advancing to the NCAA Tournament.

After ending the fall season ranked No. 49, the Owls will open the 2023 spring campaign with a four-team tournament scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 14-Monday, Jan 16.

Five seniors are expected to be in the lineup, all led by Kevin Huempfner, a force on the squad since 2021. He will be joined by Hunter Robbins and Alvaro Fernandez Horta, whose names are synonymous with FAU tennis, as well as incoming transfers Alberto Colas and Nicolas Acevedo. Adding to the team’s considerable depth are returning juniors Gabriel Diaz, Gerard Escandell, Nicolas Jadoun, Filip Krolo and Finn Stodder. Newcomer and fellow Joao Graca is also expected to make an impact for the Owls.
