Women’s Tennis – Sharks Split Week with Ranked Matchups in SSC Play

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The No. 4 ranked Nova Southeastern University Women’s Tennis team took on the No. 8 Florida Southern Mocs falling (3-4) in Lakeland, Fla. at the Wynee Warden Tennis Center, the Sharks then traveled to St. Petersburg, Fla. to the Fred Bullard Courts and defeated the No.23 Eckerd College Tritons (7-0).

  • Katja Markus battled through three sets to defeat Ronja Scheuermann 6–1, 5–7, 6–2.
  • Emily Jennewein outlasted Chloe Henderson in a marathon three-set battle.
  • Annika Berrendorf secured a 6–3, 6–4 win over Jana Boegner.
  • Noemie Dadoun fought to a three-set 6–2, 2–6, 6–3 victory against Jolie Miller.
  • Diana Volkov earned a straight-set win over Priscila Janikian, 6–4, 7–6.

  • Gia Fine completed the sweep with a 6–1, 6–3 win over Laura Ullrich.

What's Next
No. 4 Nova Southeastern returns to the courts on Wednesday, April 1st, in conference play against Palm Beach Atlantic back home in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. at the NSU Tennis Complex at Rolling Hills. First serve is set for 2pm.
