MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference released its 2025 preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday morning. The Sharks were selected to finish second in the league for the second consecutive year, earning 88 points and three first-place votes for the 2025 season.
Head Coach Amy Vaughan and the Sharks look to make another deep postseason push after falling in the second round of the NCAA Tournament last season against West Florida. NSU closed out the season with an 8-6-4 overall record and a 4-2-3 record in conference play, which earned them the third seed in the SSC Tournament.
Last year’s SSC Freshman of the Year, Alexa Berezcki, looks to lead the Sharks back to the NCAA Tournament. In addition to Berezcki, Emilie Schroeder, Juliette Bujak, Maja Isaksson, Ella Niemelä, Freya Jones, Emma Sellden, Maria Jansen, Genesis Hernandez, Sofia Suarez, Emily Cabral, Indie Morgan, Stina Roswall, Haley Mettrick, Emma Besl, Michelle Barrero, Isabella Larriu, Isabel Davis, and Kajsa Lang all return to the program.

The Nova Southeastern Sharks begin their 2025 season on Thursday, September 4th, at the NSU Soccer Stadium, where they will host Holy Family University. Kickoff is set for 5:00 p.m.
