The Owls have won three of their last four contests. As a team, the Owls lead the AAC in fouls per game (13.5), and rank second in rebounds per game (42.2) and 3-point percentage defense (27.1), third in bench points per game (20.2), field goal percentage defense (.367), and defensive rebounds per game (29.0), fourth in scoring defense (60.7) and 3-pointers per game (6.2), and fifth in rebound margin (2.4), offensive rebounds per game (13.2), 3-point attempts per game (19.2), and 3-point percentage (.321).The Owls are paced offensively by Mya Perry, Erin Rodgers, and Jada Moore. Perry ranks second in the AAC in 3-pointers made (35) and third in 3-pointers per game (2.7), boasting a team-leading 14.6 points per game. Rodgers and Moore rank second and third on the team, recording 12.0 and 11.2 points per game, respectively. Stefanie Ingram leads the Owls in assists, dishing out a team-best 5.0 assists per game. Defensively, the Owls are led on the glass by Alana Rouser, averaging 5.7 rebounds per contest while also tallying a team-leading .85 blocks per game. SCOUTING TULANE The Green Wave enter Sunday’s matchup at 7-4 overall and riding a four-game winning streak. As a team, Tulane leads the AAC in rebounds per game (42.3), defensive rebounds per game (29.3), field goal percentage defense (.363), and 3-point percentage defense (.251), and ranks second in blocks per game (4.3) and free throw attempts per game (19.7), third in scoring offense (69.9) and 3-pointers per game (6.2), fourth in assists per game (14.1), field goal percentage (.415), fouls per game (16.0), scoring margin (6.6), and 3-point attempts per game (19.4), and fifth in winning percentage (.636).All five of Tulane’s starters have averaged double-figures this season, led by Sherese Pittman, who is averaging 12.8 points per game. Kyren Whittington ranks second for the Green Wave with 12.5 points per game, while Kendall Sneed, Victoria Keenan, and Amira Mabry round out Tulane’s double-figure scorers, recording 11.3, 11.1, and 10.3 points per game, respectively. The Green Wave’s assist leader is Kendall Sneed, dishing out 4.4 assists per contest this season. WRIGHT STATE The Owls powered past the Wright State Raiders to close out the GCU Christmas Classic 2-1. Jada Moore led the way for the Owls, tying a season-high 20 points, shooting 53 percent from the field, and a perfect 100 percent (4-of-4) at the line. She also added seven boards, four assists, two steals, and a block in the win. Mya Perry was the Owls’ other double-figure scorer, shooting 47 percent (8-of-17) from the field, and also finishing a perfect 100 percent (2-of-2) at the line. She also tallied two boards, two blocks, an assist, and a steal on the day. Ta’Ziah Jenks tied for a game-high eight rebounds to lead the Owls, while also tallying nine points. Stefanie Ingram dished out a game-leading six assists and finished with seven points. Florida Atlantic held advantages in every quarter but the third, outscoring the Raiders 20-13 in the first, 19-10 in the second, and 19-14 in the third. The Owls also outshot the Raiders 43.8 percent to 31.7 percent from the field, while also holding advantages in paint points, 40-30, fastbreak points, 19-8, and second-chance points, 15-4. Florida Atlantic also dominated on the glass, outrebounding Wright State 45-33, including a nine-rebound advantage on the defensive glass, 34-25. UP NEXT Following Sunday’s contest, the Owls will kick off their AAC road slate on Saturday, January 4, heading to Greenville, N.C. to take on the ECU Pirates.
