BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ed Warinner and Jon Bills have joined the Florida Atlantic University football coaching staff, as announced by Willie Taggart, FAU’s head football coach on Friday.
Warinner will serve as the Owls’ run game coordinator and will also focus his attention with the offensive line, while Bills will work with the FAU tight ends.
Warinner comes to FAU after three seasons as the offensive line coach at Michigan. He also has coaching experience at Minnesota, Notre Dame, Illinois, Kansas, Army and Air Force, and helped lead Ohio State to the 2014 National Championship.
Bills most recently served as the recruiting coordinator and tight ends coach at Massachusetts, but prior to that, his career stops were interwoven with Taggart at Florida State, USF and WKU. He also worked at UCLA and Adams State.
“I’m happy to welcome Ed and Jon to Paradise,” said Taggart. “Ed brings more than 30 years of experience to this staff and will solidify an experienced and accomplished staff. I’m excited to see what our running game and o-line can accomplish with the addition of Coach Warinner. Jon began his career with me at WKU. I have enjoyed watching him grow as a coach and know that he will be a tremendous asset to this staff.”
