As a team, the Owls improved in each of the three rounds Freshman Amelia Cobb had the Owls’ next-best round behind Perkins, posting a 74 to move up 11 places on the final leaderboard. Quotable Head coach Heather Young “Charlotte played so solid all weekend. She handled the tough conditions with poise and perseverance. Coming down the stretch, she picked her targets decisively and executed the shots she needed.”Charlotte Perkins on what it means to earn her first career victory “This is everything to me. I am so grateful to win a collegiate event and to do it in just my second year. I couldn’t have done it without coach and my teammates so I’m stoked to have them all there cheering me on.”Perkins on her mindset coming into the day just two shots off the lead “To start the day, I honestly just tried to keep the same mindset that I live by: take it shot by shot and don’t look ahead. Just stay in the present. It wasn’t easy but I feel like, this weekend, I did so well mentally and that led to this result.”Perkins on if she felt the nerves standing over the winning putt “I didn’t actually know how much that putt meant on the last hole. I wasn’t checking the scores and no one told me anything. I knew it was important, regardless, just for myself to finish the tournament on a high. Overall though, I was pretty calm. I had been rolling it well all day and I knew I could make it. So it was awesome to finish like that.” FAU Scores ![]() What’s NextThe Owls will have a week off before their next event at the Gator Invitational in Gainesville, Fla., beginning March 7.
