BOCA RATON, Fla. – By way of her third-place finish at last week’s AAC Championship, Florida Atlantic sophomore women’s golfer Charlotte Perkins has earned her place on the all-conference team, the American Athletic Conference announced on Tuesday.
Perkins’ AAC championship finish capped off a stellar sophomore season for the native of Sydney, Australia. She played in all nine events between the fall and spring and led the Owls with a 74.69 scoring average. The highlight of the season came at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invite in Georgia in February, where Perkins emerged with her first collegiate victory. The AAC selection will send Perkins into the off-season with her first post-season recognition.
HEAD COACH HEATHER BOWIE YOUNG
“Charlotte has been a solid contributor to our team for the past two years. She is a diligent worker, an exceptional teammate, and she excels in the classroom. It is great to see her hard work and positive attitude rewarded with high finishes and post-season awards. I look forward to seeing what she can achieve in her next two years at Florida Atlantic.”
Florida Atlantic women’s golf finished third as a team at the AAC Championship, the highest conference tournament finish in program history.
