MELBOURNE, Fla. – The Sunshine State Conference announced its 2023 preseason coaches’ poll on Wednesday morning. The Sharks, earning 71 points, were voted to finish fourth during the 2023 campaign, with Tampa being selected as the top team in the SSC.
Last season, the first under Head Coach Kacie Ehinger, Nova Southeastern finished 19-12 and went 12-8 in Sunshine State Conference play. NSU qualified for the NCAA Regional Tournament for the second consecutive season.
The Sharks return a strong core, which features Taylor Stockman, the reigning Sunshine State Conference Freshman of the Year and All-American, Kate Mihacevich, an All-SSC Third Team member, Olivia Aniol, an All-SSC Freshman Team honoree, and Elizabeth Price, a 2021 AVCA All-American Honorable Mention.
