CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Two University of Miami volleyball players, Flormarie Heredia Colon and Ariana Rodriguez, were named to the 2025 Preseason All-ACC Team, the conference announced Thursday afternoon.
Following an incredible senior season, Heredia Colon claimed the conference accolade after becoming a first-time AVCA All-American, while Rodriguez notched the award after an impressive first season with AVCA All-Region honors.
In 2024, Heredia Colon was named to the All-ACC First Team and finished the year ranked second in the ACC in kills (525) and points (599.5). Heredia Colon started the year by being named Most Outstanding Player at the UNT Invitational and went on to earn two ACC Offensive Player of the Week honors. Additionally, she tallied 278 digs, 63 blocks, 37 aces and had a .955 reception percentage.
Rodriguez concluded her debut season with 1,058 assists, putting herself No. 7 all-time in Miami history. She also notched 234 digs, 79 kills, 77 blocks, 41 service aces and picked up three ACC Setter of the Week awards.
Additionally, the conference released its 2025 Preseason Coaches Poll, where Miami was picked to finish seventh in the conference behind multiple powerhouse teams.
The Hurricanes start the regular season in Coral Gables, Fla., and face Indiana on August 29.
