Bergstrom (Ljunghusen, Sweden) also earned American Athletic Conference Freshman of the Year and all-conference honors, both in unanimous fashion, prior to leading the Bulls in their seventh consecutive NCAA Regional appearance. Bergstrom set the program’s new 54-hole scoring record for a par-72 tournament with a 15-under 201 in a nine-shot victory at the Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate on March 5.
Listed at No. 48 by Golfstat, Bergstrom is currently the fourth-highest ranked freshman in the nation while USF’s freshmen rank second nationally on Golfstat’s Top Frosh list.
