USF Women’s Basketball Player Carla Brito’s Family Coming to Watch Her Play In-Person for the First Time in Four Years on Senior Night on Tuesday, March 3

Senior women’s basketball player Carla Brito’s family is coming to the Yuengling Center to watch her play in person for the first time in four years on Senior Night against Temple on March 3 at 7:00 p.m. The Puerto del Rosario, Spain native has recorded six straight double-doubles, the second-longest streak by a USF player since the 1999-2000 season.

TIMING:

South Florida will host its Senior Night against Temple on Tuesday, March 3 at 7:00 p.m. at the Yuengling Center. Brito will be one of four senior players honored, along with Janette Aarnio, Ines Piper, and L’or Mputu.

STORY HOOKS:

1) Brito has been with South Florida for all four years of her college career. She currently has 909 career rebounds, which is tied for fifth on the USF all-time list with Mary Klinewski.

2) Brito has recorded at least 10 points, 12 rebounds, and a steal in six straight games. That is the longest streak in American Conference history and the longest by any Division I player this season.

3) Brito ranks third in the American Conference with 9.6 rebounds per game overall and 11.5 rebounds per game during conference play.
