USF Men’s Golf Closes Out Season at NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional

The Bulls paced by Shubham Jaglan and Jake Peacock who tied for 13th.

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif., May 15, 2024 – The University of South Florida men’s golf team finished ninth at NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional, ending their season. Shubham Jaglan and Jake Peacock led the Bulls and tied for 13th.

The 48th-ranked Bulls made their 10th NCAA Regional appearance. The Bulls improved each round, ending with a total of 862 (+22) in the 54-hole event. USF opened with a 293 (+13), followed by a 288 (+8) in the second round. The Bulls closed with their best round, 281 (+1), a seven-shot improvement.

The Bulls were led by junior Jaglan (Delhi, India), who tied his season-low with a 67 (-3) in the final round. He made six birdies in the final round, moving up 17 spots on the leaderboard. He ended the tournament tied for 13th. He opened with a 72 (+2), followed by a 74 (+4) in the second round.

Junior Peacock (Milton, Ga.) also tied for 13th. Peacock bookended a pair of 72’s (+2) with a 69 (-1), his low round of the tournament, in the second round.

With his lowest round as a Bull, a 67 (-3) in the final round, junior Cooper Smith (Tampa, Fla.) moved up 18 spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 31st. Smith opened with 75 (+5) in each of the first two rounds.

Senior Sam Nicholson (Atlantic Beach, Fla.) shot 74 (+4), 70 (E), and 75 (+5) to finish in a tie for 39th at 219 (+9).

Graduate student Brock Healy (Norcross, Ga.) posted rounds of 75 (+5), 75 (+5), and 78 (+8) to finish at 228 (+18), tied for 61st.

About USF Men’s Golf
The USF men’s golf program has captured 19 conference titles and has seen players earn 19 All-America honors. The Bulls have won six American Athletic Conference Tournament championships including 2024 and won four-consecutive from 2015-18. The Bulls have had five individual conference champions, including Jake Peacock in 2024, Albin Bergstrom in 2021, and gone on to earn nine NCAA Regional appearances, including a 6th place finish in NCAA Championship match-play in 2015. USF is led by Steve Bradley, who has been named American Athletic Conference Coach of the Year six times since taking over the program in 2014. The Bulls have posted 24 tournament wins under Bradley including three in the 2023-24 season, by far the most under any coach in program history.
