UPPER DECK ANNOUNCES RETURN OF MY MVP CONTEST AND BEGINS SEARCH FOR THE MOST PASSIONATE NHL® TEAM FANS
Popular fan contest is back for a second season with a Grand Prize package estimated at $3,000 plus an official Upper Deck MVP trading card
CARLSBAD, Ca. (April 13, 2021): Upper Deck announced today the return of the My MVP program, a fan-focused contest that puts the spotlight on NHL superfans who have made a positive impact on their local hockey communities. The program first launched during the 2019-20 hockey season and received an overwhelming response from fans across the United States and Canada.
“We are excited to bring the My MVP program back for another year,” said Upper Deck’s Sports Marketing Manager, Paul Nguyen. “The program was a huge success last season and gave us an opportunity to highlight some of the most dedicated and deserving NHL® fans. We look forward to recognizing even more hockey fans this season.”
Starting April 16, 2021, eligible fans can nominate themselves by submitting a short explanation at www.upperdeck.com/MYMVP describing why they should be considered as their NHL Team’s MVP. Voting will take place via Twitter, where the top nominee from each participating team will earn the title of ‘Team MVP’ and awarded an estimated $500 prize pack.
The winning NHL Team MVP’s will then compete for the title of Ultimate MVP of the league, with the final winner crowned on May 26, 2021. The grand prize winner will receive an exclusive prize package worth an estimated $3,000 that includes a personalized Upper Deck trading card that will be inserted into the 2021-22 NHL® MVP product release, a choice of either a $500 UpperDeckstore.com credit or a tin of Upper Deck’s 2021-22 The Cup product, as well as a custom My MVP reclining chair and additional ‘My MVP’ swag.
