GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Women’s Cross Country team was chosen as the No. 8 Team in the Nation per USTFCCCA’s Preseason National Rankings, the USTFCCCA announced Monday. The Gators finished fifth in the National Championship Meet in 2023.

Florida was projected as the No. 1 team in the NCAA South Region, the USTFCCCA announced Monday. Florida is the highest-ranked team from the Southeastern Conference.

In 2023, The Gators finished with their best placement in program history, taking fifth at the National Championship meet behind the efforts of a first-place finish by Parker Valby and a sixth-place finish by Flomena Asekol.
