Gators looking for final tune up before SEC Championships
HOOVER, Ala. – Florida will travel to the Blazer Classic, hosted by UAB, on Friday beginning at 8:45 a.m. ET at Veterans Park.
The Gators will run in the women’s 6,000-meter race at 8:45 a.m. ET and the men’s 8k race at 9:15 a.m. ET. This is UF’s third of four meets this fall.
Florida will be joined in competition by Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kentucky, Middle Tennessee State, Mississippi State (women’s race), Ole Miss, Tennessee and Vanderbilt.
Last time out, Trevor Foley (7th, 24:34.5) and Vasileia Spyrou (8th, 17:12.5) led the way for their respective teams with the men’s team finishing fourth in the 8,000-meter race while the women’s team took seventh in the 5k race at the FSU XC Invitational.
