The new era of Gators women’s tennis, under head coach Per Nilsson<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-tennis/roster/coaches/per-nilsson/2018>, will be on full display Sunday afternoon in Gainesville. UF is set to host its first dual match of the spring, welcoming North Florida to Alfred A. Ring for a 1 p.m. start.
GAINESVILLE, Fla.-The Florida women’s tennis team will compete in their first true dual match of the season on Sunday afternoon. The Gators will face North Florida at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex with doubles action starting at 1 p.m.
In their last outing, the Gators hosted the Florida Invitational which featured Florida State and South Florida. Despite coming up empty in doubles, the Gators went undefeated in singles play (9-0).
Sunday’s matchup will be the first dual meeting between the Gators and North Florida since May of 2023, where Florida defeated UNF 4-0 in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

As a team, Florida finds itself at No. 19 in the Preseason ITA rankings and No. 4 in the SEC preseason coaches’ poll. UF is also represented nationally in the doubles category with Alicia Dudeney<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-tennis/roster/alicia-dudeney/16980> and Rachel Gailis<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-tennis/roster/rachel-gailis/16981> sitting at No. 3.
