UF WGOLF: No. 8 Women's Golf Unveils Spring Schedule

The spring season will commence on Feb. 14 at the Moon Golf Invitational.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The spring slate of competition for the Florida Gators women’s golf team has been finalized, head coach Emily Glaser announced Thursday.

“I want to thank the administration at the University of Florida and our friends at the Southeastern Conference for their hard work that has allowed us to not only compete in the fall, but also have a solid spring schedule that will prepare us for postseason competition,” said Glaser. “We look forward to traveling to some of the best events in our region and facing many strong conference opponents, as well as other top-ranked teams from across the country.”

“This schedule will help us in reaching our goals – to improve as a team each week and be the most competitive team we can become postseason.”

UF opens its 2021 spring campaign in the Sunshine State as they head to Melbourne, Fla. to compete at the Moon Golf Invitational. This annual tournament, hosted by the University of Louisville at Duran Golf Club, is set to take place from Feb. 14-16.

The next week, the Gators return home to compete for their sixth consecutive title as they host the 49th annual Gators Invitational presented by Vystar on Feb. 21-23. Florida has captured the title in 23 of the previous 48 tournaments, culminating in a current five-year win streak. Last season, the Gators dominated the field with an 18-stroke lead on the nearest opponent. Individually, all five Gators in the lineup placed within the top-15, led by Marta Perez, who notched a second-place finish. Fan information and safety policies regarding the 2021 Gators Invitational will be released at a later date.

Florida ends February and begins March in Columbia, S.C. at the Gamecock Intercollegiate, marking the third straight week of competition for the Gators. This three-day competition is set to take place at the Columbia Country Club and is hosted by the University of South Carolina.

The Gators return to action in Athens, Ga. at the Liz Murphey Collegiate Classic, an annual tournament hosted by the University of Georgia and taking place March 19-21.

UF concludes the regular season on April 6-7 in Baton Rouge at the LSU Tiger Invitational before kicking off postseason play in Birmingham, Ala. from April 14-18 at the SEC Championship.

The NCAA Regional Championship is scheduled for May 10-12 at four possible locations throughout the nation, with the NCAA National Championship being held at the Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz., beginning on May 21.
