Roberts joins the Gators after spending her freshman season at Florida State and will have three years of eligibility.
“We are thrilled to have Taylor join our Gator family,” said Bastel Glaser. “Her golf resume is packed with many accolades both at the state and national level and we know she will bring a lot of hard work and competitiveness to our team. But more than that, I appreciate who she is as a person and I know that our culture will be a great fit for her goals off the course as well. We are excited to get Taylor to Gainesville and watch her blossom in the coming years.”
The Parkland, Florida native started every tournament as a freshman for the Seminoles and earned two top-10 finishes. She helped the program record its best finish at the NCAA Championship in ninth while her scoring average ranked 13th in program history.
“I chose Florida because I was looking for coaches and teammates that would support and push me to be my very best on and off the golf course,” said Roberts. “Coach Emily (Bastel Glaser) and Coach Janice (Olivencia) have created an amazing culture that is built on honesty and transparency and I can’t wait to be a part of it. The entire athletic department and academic support team is the best in the country and will do whatever it takes to make their student athletes successful.
“Being a Florida Gator is being part of something bigger than just golf and is a privilege that I don’t take lightly. I’m so excited to join Gator Nation and call Gainesville my home. I’m also looking forward to getting involved in the local community, especially working with young kids.”
