The Gators are in fourth after 36 holes as the top-8 teams advance to match play over the weekend.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida women’s golf team completed day two of the SEC Championship at Greystone Golf and Country Club on Thursday.
Florida (+12) started the day in second and jumped into a tie for first early on and eventually settled in 4th at the end of the round. Auburn (E) continues to lead the field and is the only school not over par.
The final 18 holes will take place tomorrow with the top-8 teams making the cut and advancing to single-elimination match play on the weekend.
Maisie Filler and Jackie Lucena both started the day with a birdie to help move the Gators into a tie for first. Filler carried the top score for UF with a 72 (E) and placed a great approach shot on 18 to end the outing with a birdie to jump 11 spots and finish T10. Lucena ended 1-under on the front nine to place T25.
Round one leader, Marina Escobar continues to lead the lineup and wrapped up in T7. Rounding out the group, Annabell Fuller is tied for 36th and Clara Manzalini 56th.
The Gators tee off round three Friday at 9:50 a.m. ET.
