Gators will Look to Grab Home Win Over Texas A&M Sunday
The Florida Gators will return home Sunday afternoon in hopes of claiming their second SEC win of the season. The Gators will take on Texas A&M at 1 p.m. with live coverage on SEC Network.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Gators will host Texas A&M on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Gainesville. Both teams will be coming off SEC road games with Florida falling to Ole Miss 81-70, and Texas A&M defeating Missouri 69-67. The matchup will be the Gators and Aggies’ seventh conference game of the 2023-24 season.

The current series between Florida and Texas A&M sits at 11-4 with the Aggies ahead by seven victories. The Gators have won the last three matchups and are looking to continue their winning streak in the all-time series after Sunday’s game.
HISTORY:
Florida and Texas A&M have met 15 times in their respective school histories. The most recent matchup between the two was Feb. 2, 2023, with the Gators defeating the Aggies 61-54 at Exactech Arena. The contest prior was also a Florida victory, with a final score of 55-48. Overall the Gators are 3-7 in the last 10 matchups with the Aggies and are on a three-game win streak in the all-time series.
FLORIDA’S LAST GAME:
Most recently, Florida was edged by Ole Miss 81-70 on Thursday evening. Correa went 10-of-25 from the field and shot 75 percent from behind the arc. ABOUT TEXAS A&M:
The Aggies are traveling to Gainesville after a tight 69-67 road win against Missouri. The Aggies had three players in double digits for scoring last Sunday and were led on offense by Lauren Ware with a career-high 22-point performance. Ware also had a career-high in field goals, making 10 of her 13 attempts, and led the Aggies on the boards with nine rebounds.
Throughout the season Texas A&M has had four players averaging in double figures for scoring: Endyia Rogers (12.5 ppg), Aicha Coulibaly (12.1 ppg), Janiah Barker (12.1 ppg), and Lauren Ware (10.5 ppg). Ware also holds the eighth spot in the SEC for rebounding and Barker finds herself at 11. Also, on the defensive side of conference rankings is Coulibaly at No. 8 in the SEC for steals. The Aggies are currently 6th spot in conference rankings and with a seemingly all-around team, they should make for a good show in Gainesville.
