Gators Fall to Ole Miss in Rebels Territory
Florida fell 94-69 to Ole Miss on the road Thursday evening. The Gators were led in scoring by Jeriah Warren with a 19-point outing, shooting a perfect 4-4 from the three.
OXFORD, Miss.- The Gators were challenged Thursday night by the Rebels, falling 94-60 to a tough Ole Miss team. The matchup marked UF’s fifth SEC contest of 2025 and they now own a 2-3 record.
Offensively, Jeriah Warren<https://floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/jeriah-warren/16862> led the Gators shooting 5-8 from the field, including a perfect 4-4 from behind the arc. Warren totaled 19 points to lead Florida in her second consecutive SEC matchup. Kyle and McGill also hit double figures for scoring tallying a combined 25 of UF’s 69 points.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
IN THE FIRST:
* Florida forced six turnovers on the Rebels-converting for nine points
* Eight of UF’s 17 points were tallied inside the paint
* The Gators shot 46.7 percent from the field (7-15)
* Florida took the lead three times (8:52, 7:35, 1:17)
* The score stood in favor of Mississippi at 20-17 to end the period
IN THE SECOND:
* The Gators were held to only eight points in the initial six minutes of play
* UF recorded a game high nine turnovers, which Ole miss capitalized on for 11 points
