UF WBK: Florida Defeats Arkansas with Program Record 108 Points in SEC Play

The Gators tallied win No. 12 of the season, defeating Arkansas 108-78 in Fayetteville. Florida’s 108-point win marks their highest scoring conference game in program history.

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.- Florida’s offense was unstoppable in the Gators 30-point victory over Arkansas on Monday evening. UF tallied a 108-78 win in Razorback territory to mark their highest scoring SEC game in program history. The Gators 108 points were posted across 10 different players reflecting Monday’s joint effort.

Freshman Me’Arah O’Neal<https://admin.floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/me-arah-o-neal/16879> led Florida in scoring with 19 points, setting her career high and marking her first time as UF’s offensive leader. Liv McGill<https://admin.floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/liv-mcgill/16880> was not far behind with 18, and Laila Reynolds<https://admin.floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/laila-reynolds/16860> followed suit with 14. Ra Shaya Kyle<https://admin.floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/ra-shaya-kyle/16858> and Jeriah Warren<https://admin.floridagators.com/sports/womens-basketball/roster/jeriah-warren/16862> also hit double figures in scoring for the Gators; Kyle posting 13 and Warren grabbing 12.

As a team, Florida shot 56.6 percent from the field (43-76), and secured 13 three pointers to set a season high. The Gators also went 13-22 from behind the arc to record a season high in three-point shooting at 59.1 percent.

On the defensive end, Florida out-rebounded the Razorbacks 52-35 with Kyle leading on the boards for her eighteenth time this season. Kyle brought in 12 rebounds to accompany her 13 points, leading to her twelfth double-double of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
IN THE FIRST:

  *   Florida held an eight-point lead (12-4) heading into the first media timeout (4:36)
  *   UF was led on offense by O’Neal and Reynolds-both tallying six points
  *   O’Neal shot 2-2 from the three-point line in her three minutes out
  *   Florida was perfect from behind the arc going 4-4-marking their best 3FG percent of the night
  *   The Gators bench was responsible for 13 of their 28 points
  *   UF Outrebounded the Razorbacks 13-9
  *   McGill distributed three of UF’s seven assists
  *   Florida secured 28 points and shot 60 percent from the field (12-20)

IN THE SECOND:

  *   Florida shot a game high 63.2 percent from the field (12-19)
  *   18 of UF’s 26 points came from inside the paint
  *   Florida was led in scoring by Reynolds and McGill, each recording six points
