Following today’s performance, the Gators have qualified for every event so far.
AUBURN, Ala. – The Florida divers showcased impressive performances across the board on day two of the 2025 NCAA Zone B Championships on Monday at the James E. Martin Aquatics Center.
Camyla Monroy started things off with a standout performance, winning the one-meter competition with a combined score of 632.60. On the men’s side, Peyton Donald and Jesus Gonzalez solidified their NCAA’s spot after delivering a top-eight finish in the three-meter. Coming off a third-place finish in the one-meter yesterday, Gesing qualified in the three-meter after placing in the top-12.

Women’s One-Meter
Making her first one-meter diving appearance since winning gold at SEC Championships back in February, the sophomore continued her dominance. Monroy advanced to the finals after finishing third with a score of 304.60. During her finals performance, the All-American scored a 62.00 on her last dive to place first with a combined score of 632.60, improving from her 600.00 at last year’s Zones. Her win today allows for a top-12 finish on the three-meter and platform to qualify for NCAA Championships in those two events as well.
Men’s Three-Meter
After Donald and Gonzalez finished ninth and eleventh, respectively, in yesterday’s one-meter competition, narrowly missing the top-seven NCAA qualifying spots, they needed to place in the top-eight today. Not only would a top-eight finish officially secure their spots, but it would also ensure qualification in both events, as they had already finished in the top-12 for the one-meter.
The pair stayed steady throughout both the preliminaries and finals, consistently remaining in the top-eight. Donald earned seven scores over 60, with two dives in round five scoring 73.50 each. He finished fifth overall in the finals with a total score of 751.95. Gonzalez, who was seeded seventh going into the finals, held onto his position by scoring five dives over 60, finishing with a combined score of 736.85.
Coming off a third-place finish yesterday in the one-meter, Gesing scored within the top-12 to earn his first NCAA Championships ticket in the three-meter, while earning his second NCAA ticket this week. The sophomore went into finals seeded No. 13, but fought back to placed ninth overall with a combined score 722.80.

Tuesday’s events begin with the women’s three-meter at 12 p.m. Finals is set for 2:45 p.m. before the men climb the tower for platform competition. Prelims will begin at 4:30 p.m. with finals at 6:15 p.m.

“Today was about as good as it gets. Camy starting us out by winning the one meter event really set the tone for a great day. The main goal is always just qualifying but coming out with a win against two former NCAA champions in that event will certainly boost her confidence moving forward.”
On all three men qualifying in both springboard events:
“The men were under a lot of pressure in a great three-meter contest and they were all clutch when it mattered most. Conor came back strong after a couple early missed dives and Peyton and Jesus were solid throughout. By qualifying today all three men are qualified on both springboard events.
All in all the Gators punched a total of six tickets today. Two more days to go and we are not done yet.”
