ATLANTA, Ga. – On the third day of NCAA Diving Zone competition, three Gators punched their ticket to the NCAA Championships.
On the men’s side, Leonardo Garcia and Anton Svirskyi earned a spot at NCAAs on the 3-meter springboard, while Maha Amer claimed her spot in the women’s platform event.

Men’s Finals
After their performances in the prelims, Garcia, Svirskyi and Nick Lydon earned their spot in the 3-meter springboard final. Garcia led the way with a second-place finish, recording a score of 821.00, while Svirskyi punched his first ever NCAA ticket with a 10th-place finish, posting a score of 706.50.
Nick Lydon was just outside the cusp of Top-11, placing 14th with a score of 684.65.
Men’s Prelims
All three Gator men competing in the 3-meter springboard preliminary session dove their way into the final on Tuesday afternoon. Garcia led the way with a second-place finish, recording a score of 419.00.
Lydon and Svirskyi finished 12th and 13th in the prelims, scoring marks of 336.65 and 335.65, respectively. With their Top-18 finishes, both Lydon and Svirskyi claimed their first spot in the finals of the 2022 Zones.
Women’s Finals
To close out the women’s competition, Amer (511.05) clinched her third NCAA ticket with a ninth-place finish in the platform.
Caroline Pagac finished 17th overall with a score of 478.60, while Carina Lumia rounded out the Gators in the final with a score of 468.65, good for 18th overall.
Women’s Prelims
The Gators had five divers compete in the final women’s event on Tuesday afternoon – the platform – with three claiming spots in the finals session.
Once again, Amer (266.15) led the way with a ninth-place finish, followed by Pagac (261.30) in 10th. Lumia clinched her spot in the final after finishing 15th with a score of 250.85.
Just missing the Top-18 cut off were Elettra Neroni and Lauren Snider. Neroni placed 19th with a score of 241.85, while Snider registered a score of 241.85 to finish 21st overall.
Zones close on Wednesday, with the preliminary session beginning at 11 a.m. with the men’s platform. Events will run straight-through with a 10-minute break between the end of prelims and the beginning of finals.
