Florida has defeated the Aggies twice already this season
ORLANDO, Fla. – No. 1-seeded Florida (23-2) will face No. 8 Texas A&M (19-8) on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. ET at the USTA National Campus in the quarterfinals of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Tennis Tournament.
The match will be televised live on the Tennis Channel with Sam Gore on the call.
The Gators swept Illinois, 4-0, while the Aggies downed Mississippi State, 4-0, on Monday night to advance to Thursday night’s contest.
UF has played and defeated TAMU twice this season, winning 5-2 in College Station, Texas, on Feb. 28 and 4-3 in the semifinal of the SEC Tournament in Fayetteville, Ark. on Apr. 22.
With two sweeps already, Florida has won its first three matches in the NCAA Tournament by a combined score of 12-1.
The winner of this match will face off against the winner of No. 4 Texas and No. 12 Southern California on Friday night, with the championship match taking place on Saturday night.
