Andrade, Riffice, Vale, Grant and Ingildsen selected
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida’s Andy Andrade, Sam Riffice, Duarte Vale, Will Grant and Johannes Ingildsen were selected for the 2021 NCAA Men’s Tennis Individual Championships, the NCAA announced earlier this week.
Andrade, Riffice and Vale were selected to play in the singles competition while the pairings of Grant/Ingildsen and Riffice/Vale were chosen for the doubles competition.
With a 23-6 singles record this year, Vale earned the No. 5 seed while Riffice, who is 23-7 in singles this year, was tabbed as the No. 6 seed. Andrade will enter the tournament unseeded in the 64-player tournament.
Both of the doubles pairings were selected as unseeded participants in the 32-pairing tournament.
As duos this season, Grant and Ingildsen posted a 9-7 record while Riffice and Vale have a 13-6 mark in doubles.
Blaise Bicknell, who boasts a perfect 29-0 record in singles this year, was named as an alternate for the singles competition.
The singles and doubles tournaments will be conducted May 23-28 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando after the conclusion of the team championship, which runs from May 17-22. The University of Central Florida and the Greater Orlando Sports Commission will serve as hosts.
All matches shall be the best-of-three sets. No-ad scoring and a 7-point tiebreaker (first to seven points, must win by two points) at six-games-all will be used for all matches. In doubles, a 10-point match tiebreaker will be played in lieu of a third set.
The Gators are scheduled to host South Alabama in the first round of the NCAA Tournament on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. With a win, the No. 1 overall seed would play the winner of Duke and South Florida on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex.

Ticket Information
Tickets may be purchased in advance or on each day of the tournament. An all-session pass is $10 for adults and $5 for senior citizens, college students, and children under 12. Single day tickets for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday are $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, college students, and children under 12.
Gates will open for fans one hour prior to the start of the first competition each day. Please note that seating is on a first come, first served basis. No saving of seats will be permitted.
Based on updated recommendations from the NCAA’s COVID-19 Medical Advisory Group local guidelines for fan attendance, not to exceed 50% of the venue capacity, at outdoor NCAA Championships will be followed.
