Talented duo will join the Gators in the fall of 2021
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida men’s tennis program announced the signings of Nate Bonetto (Bend, Oregon) and Abedallah Shelbayh (Amman, Jordan) to the 2021 recruiting class on Tuesday.
Bonetto and Shelbayh will join the team in the fall of 2021.
Bonetto is a five-star prospect and the No.1 player in the state of Oregon for the class of 2021 according to the Tennis Recruiting Network.
Shelbayh trains at the Rafael Nadal Tennis Academy in Manacor, Spain and is No. 100 in the ITF Junior Rankings.
“We are very excited about our next incoming class,” Gators Head Coach Bryan Shelton said. “We are bringing in outstanding young men that will continue to elevate our program. One very interesting fact is that all are lefties.”

“Nate Bonetto is one of the sharpest young men that I have ever recruited,” Shelton said. “Nate burst onto the scene a year ago and possesses an all court game that will continue to get better in our system. Nate is also an excellent student and is a great problem solver. We expect Nate’s game to take off in this environment.”
