FORT WORTH, Texas – The Florida men’s golf team wrapped up the first two rounds of the Ben Hogan Collegiate on Monday.
Eight of the 16 teams competing, were quarterfinalists at last year’s NCAA Championships. North Carolina leads the field at 10-under as Bartley Forrester of Georgia Tech is the individual leader at 6-under.
John DuBois and Yuxin Lin paced the Gators posting 1-over overall through the first 36 holes. The duo both sank back-to-back birdies to start the back-nine on 10 (par-4, 408 yards) and 11 (par-5, 635 yards) en route to a 70 (E) in their second set of 18 holes. DuBois went 3-under on the back and Lin 2-under in round two. The Florida seniors are in tied for 23rd.
The rest of the lineup all shot a round one of 72 (+2) and round two of 73 (+3). The trio of Fred Biondi, Ricky Castillo and Quentin Debove are tied for 52nd.
The Gators are in 14th and tee off the final 18 holes tomorrow at 9:50 a.m. ET
